Confession of a scrapbooking newbie . . .

I learned the difference between a rub-on and a vellum last night. I was working hard on a scrapbook of my son's highschool graduation. I had bought a kit for this project. I picked up what I thought were rub-ons. I found my "popcycle" stick and started rubbing. I rubbed and rubbed only to find out nothing was transferring to my paper! Hum, I thought. What are these things?? I got my kit out and started reading all the goodies that were included. Vellums - two pages, THAT was what I had, whatever those are! I got my .15 "Everything You Need to Know About Scrapbooking" book out (Amazon.com) and tried to find out what vellums were. I found out, sorta. I'm still not 100% sure what they are, but, I used a couple of them in the scrapbook. I have SO much to learn!

Sammie,
I am going to post a picture of how I used the clear stickers tomorrow. I painted the edges turquoise, all imperfect and all. You can lie the letters down and paint on top of them, thenlift the letters to use the letters as a mask. You can chalk around them too. Also, use a clear one right on top of a picture , such as an initial, so you can see right through it to the picture. The page I used mine on is one of my favorites! melanie
